Living Funerals

How many times have you been to a funeral and heard the words, “She/ he would have loved that,”?
A growing number of people who have a terminal diagnosis or who are elderly are choosing to have a 'Living Funeral', Celebration of Life, or service to help them or those closest to them come to terms with what is happening.
If this is something you might be interested in, you might not want it to be called a living funeral or life celebration. You might want to combine it with a birthday or anniversary.
Here are a few ideas:
-
A gathering of a few close friends to share stories and memories with some readings / music over a cuppa.
-
An intimate service to help come to terms with a diagnosis.
-
An open mike event when family and friends come together to share their tributes and the impact the guest of honour has had on their lives.
-
A party with food and music inspired by the person being celebrated, a wonderful opportunity to meet up and just be together.
You might want to organise everything yourself or you might want me to help guide you and to structure and lead the event. If this is the case, I can help you and those who wish to be involved celebrate the life that is being lived or prepare together for the challenges to come.
This ceremony can be whatever you want it to be. I will work with you to create a special time and place where time can be shared with loved ones in a place of your choosing. It can involve whoever and whatever you want.
